PerformRx: Override Code 502

Dear Pharmacy Provider, In an effort to assist your pharmacy when members no longer have primary insurance, PerformRx has implemented an override code that will allow the claim to process as primary for only these instances. If the member states that he/she does not have any other coverage, you may enter an override code of: 50220 in the authorization field appropriate for your pharmacy software. Please note that this override code will be audited to ensure that pharmacies are using the code appropriately. To the extent that pharmacies misuse this override code, upon audit, these claims will be taken back as ACLA is always the payer of last resort according to state and federal regulations. Please contact us at 800-555-5690 with any questions. Thank you. Sincerely, PerformRx Pharmacy Network Department
