APCI began as a small buying group for a limited number of independent pharmacies in central Alabama. Since that time, the cooperative has grown to more than 1,800 members pharmacies in 26 states, and provides its members with a wide range of products and services.

Our mission is to represent the economic and professional interests of independent pharmacies by providing leadership, vision, and a collective voice for our members in the healthcare marketplace. Our goal is to level the playing field for our member pharmacies by providing innovative, targeted programs to benefit our entire membership.

CVS/caremark: New Implementation for FloWorks International, LLC

FloWorks International, LLC As previously communicated on December 12, 2015, effective January 1, 2016, CVS/caremark began administering the prescription benefits for FloWorks International, LLC. Member ID cards were printed with incorrect Customer Care and Pharmacy Help Desk phone numbers. CVS/caremark: WellCare Health Plans (Medicaid)

Effective: January 28, 2016

WellCare Health Plans (Medicaid) As previously communicated, effective January 1, 2016, CVS/caremark began to administer the prescription benefits for WellCare Health Plans. Beginning January 28, 2016, claims submitted with an incorrect RXPCN will reject with the following or similar message: Reject 85 : <Claim Not Processed> <Submit RxPCN MCAIDADV> To minimize disruption, please update member profiles with this RXPCN.
