APCI and PrescribeWellness have partnered together to provide the necessary tools for addressing Medication Adherence, Patient Loyalty, and Star Ratings.

The Alliance of Independent Pharmacists of Texas and APCI today announced the two entities have entered into a partnership. This new legislative and advocacy collaboration will further unify independent pharmacy in Texas and enable APCI members to have a stronger voice at the state’s Capitol.

Due to system maintenance at Prime Therapeutics, their claims processing system will be unavailable for claims adjudication during the time frame listed below:

Saturday December 13, 2014 11:00 p.m. to Saturday December 13, 2014 11:30 p.m. (Central Time)    

During this downtime, claims will not be processed. 

Effective January 1, 2015, in accordance with the 2015 CMS Call Letter, Prime will implement additional Point-of-Sale (POS) prior authorization (PA) edits. These edits will target drugs which have a high likelihood that the drug is excluded from Part D coverage (e.g., a drug or drug class or its medical use that is excluded from coverage or otherwise restricted under Part D) or use for non-medically accepted indications. These new edits will apply even when a Covered Person is in the transition period in order to appropriately determine their eligibility for coverage under Part D, through the coverage determination process.

McKesson will extend their generic Price Assurance Promotion for independent retail pharmacy customers through March 31, 2015.
