APCI began as a small buying group for a limited number of independent pharmacies in central Alabama. Since that time, the cooperative has grown to more than 1,800 members pharmacies in 26 states, and provides its members with a wide range of products and services.

Our mission is to represent the economic and professional interests of independent pharmacies by providing leadership, vision, and a collective voice for our members in the healthcare marketplace. Our goal is to level the playing field for our member pharmacies by providing innovative, targeted programs to benefit our entire membership.

Your Access To A More Performance Focused APNS Experience

During the week of December 8, 2014, an APNS staff member will be contacting you by phone to complete the PRO Wellness enrollment process.  You should have already received the PRO Wellness electronic enrollment packet via email from DocuSign.  This packet includes the PRO Wellness enrollment forms and a business associate agreement. An APNS staff member will walk you quickly through the enrollment process and schedule an appointment date/time for a PrescribeWellness account representative to assist you with the download of software required for accessing the Pro Wellness dashboard.

OptumRx: Patient Residency Code (PRC) Code Changes

Effective: 1/1/2015

As you are aware, CMS requires all Medicare Part D claims to have a Patient Residence Code (PRC). There are only certain PRCs that CMS considers valid; 00, 01, 03, 04, 06, 09 & 11. Effective January 1st, 2015, OptumRx will only accept these valid CMS PRCs, and reject all others.
