Since 1984, APCI has been the ‘united voice of independent pharmacy’

APCI began as a small buying group for a limited number of independent pharmacies in central Alabama. Since that time, the cooperative has grown to more than 1,800 members pharmacies in 26 states, and provides its members with a wide range of products and services.

Our mission is to represent the economic and professional interests of independent pharmacies by providing leadership, vision, and a collective voice for our members in the healthcare marketplace. Our goal is to level the playing field for our member pharmacies by providing innovative, targeted programs to benefit our entire membership.

CVS Caremark: SilverScript Network Performance Program

Retail Pharmacy Performance Network Program Update

As 2014 comes to a close, CVS/caremark is providing the following information to assist your pharmacy with details regarding the Network Performance Program. 

  • Effective December 18, 2014, Mirixa intervention opportunities will be closed.  Completing all Mirixa opportunities may help to improve your final performance score and could impact the performance payment your pharmacy will receive. 

Prime Therapeutics: CoverMyMeds®

Prime Therapeutics, LLC has contracted with CoverMyMeds® to provide an electronic prior authorization (ePA) solution that will allow Participating Pharmacies and Prescribing Providers the ability to submit PA requests online. This online solution allows Participating Pharmacies and Prescribing Providers to receive real-time notifications of the PA outcome.

OptumRx: City of Knoxville - BIN 610494

Effective: 1/1/2015

Effective 01/01/2015 - OptumRx will manage claims processing for members of City of Knoxville.

Please note: All members of City of Knoxville will receive a new member identification (ID) card.  Please process prescriptions online using the City of Knoxville ID card information.

Express Scripts: Medical Mutual of Ohio - BIN 610056

Effective: 12/3/2014

Please note an issue may occur when attempting to process claims for Medical Mutual of Ohio Employees. If a claim for a member with umbrella group MMODRUG rejects with NCPDP Reject Code 69 – "Filled After Coverage Terminated", please call the ESI Pharmacy Help Desk to obtain the active group number to process the claim.
