Since 1984, APCI has been the ‘united voice of independent pharmacy’

APCI began as a small buying group for a limited number of independent pharmacies in central Alabama. Since that time, the cooperative has grown to more than 1,800 members pharmacies in 26 states, and provides its members with a wide range of products and services.

Our mission is to represent the economic and professional interests of independent pharmacies by providing leadership, vision, and a collective voice for our members in the healthcare marketplace. Our goal is to level the playing field for our member pharmacies by providing innovative, targeted programs to benefit our entire membership.

OptumRx : UnitedHealthcare Medicare Part D - Home Infusion Claims Processing Change

Effective January 1, 2018

Effective January 1, 2018 contracted UnitedHealthcare Medicare Part D Home Infusion pharmacies must submit appropriate PRC (Patient Residence Code) and PST (Pharmacy Service Type) codes to receive an approved claim for home infusion drugs

Effective January 1, 2018

Effective January 1, 2018, CVS Caremark® will begin to process pharmacy claims for Allwell from Louisiana Healthcare Connections.

EnvisionRx - Commonwealth Coordinated Care Plus (CCC Plus) Medicaid Managed Care Pharmacy Update

Effective January 1, 2018

On January 1, 2018 approximately 105,000 members will be transitioning to the CCC Plus program from the Aged, Blind and Disabled and for the CCC programs.

Express Scripts - BCBS of Kansas City Prescription Drug List update

Effective January 1, 2018

Effective Jan. 1, 2018, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (Blue KC) will update its prescription drug list (PDL), which will affect commercial members in Blue-Care® (HMO), BlueSelect Plus (PPO), Preferred-Care® (PPO) and Preferred-Care Blue® (PPO) plans.
