Since 1984, APCI has been the ‘united voice of independent pharmacy’

APCI began as a small buying group for a limited number of independent pharmacies in central Alabama. Since that time, the cooperative has grown to more than 1,800 members pharmacies in 26 states, and provides its members with a wide range of products and services.

Our mission is to represent the economic and professional interests of independent pharmacies by providing leadership, vision, and a collective voice for our members in the healthcare marketplace. Our goal is to level the playing field for our member pharmacies by providing innovative, targeted programs to benefit our entire membership.

Express Scripts: Amerigroup - Changes to Refill Too Soon Limit

Effective December 27th 2016

Beginning Dec. 27, 2016, Amerigroup will change its “Refills Allowed After” (i.e. Refill Too Soon) limits for members enrolled in its Medicaid and CHIP plans.

Express Scripts: BlueChoise Health Plan - Changes to Refill Too Soon Limit

Effective December 27th 2016

Beginning Dec. 27, 2016, BlueChoice HealthPlan will change its “Refills Allowed After” (i.e. Refill Too Soon) limits for members enrolled in its Medicaid plans.

The changes to the Medicaid Refills Allowed After limits will require members to use 90% of a prescription before a refill can be obtained. Claims submitted before the 90% threshold has been reached will reject with NCPDP Reject 79, “Refill Too Soon.”

Prime Therapeutics: Processing Update for Generic Relpax® for Covered Persons of the Mississippi State and School Employees’ Health Insurance Plan

Effective December 26th 2016

Dear Valued Provider,

December 26th 2016, generic Relpax (eletriptan) will become available to the market. The generic eletriptan will not be covered by the Mississippi State and School Employees’ Health Insurance Plan until multiple manufacturers become available or the price decreases. The innovator branded product Relpax will continue to be covered at the same preferred brand copay of $45.
